Canyon Ski and Recreation Area Ltd. has the following positions available:

Trail Guides (2 or more positions):

Part time EMPLOYMENT from May through to October and Full Time EMPLOYMENT from July to August

As per insurance regulations:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have at least 5 years horse experience (owning and working with horses)
• Must have been in 4H or Pony Club for a min. of 3 years, or worked with another outfitter in the past.
• Basic knowledge of equine first-aid an asset.
• References required.
• Security check required
• Current first-aid certification required from an accredited source.
• Public relations skills necessary.
• Odd & end type jobs (ie. painting, cutting the grass, cleaning, etc.) when no rides.

Need to be available weekends.

Children`s Day Camp Counsellors (3 or more positions)

We have a very busy summer season ahead and Canyon is looking for first rate full time and part time Children`s Day Camp Counsellors for July & August 2008. The start date is the last week of June. Full time and part time positions available. Must be 18 years and older as per insurance requirements. Positive experience working, dealing, and playing with children between the ages of 8 and 14 years. References will be required from past employers. Security check is required. Successful applicants will need to have a current first-aid certification from an accredited source. Public relation skills would be an asset. The successful applicant must be able and willing to participate in all activities with children indoors and outdoors. Some odd & end type of jobs such as painting and cutting the grass around the building will be required.

Children`s Day Camp Director:

Canyon Ski Area is looking for the right candidate to supervise our Children`s Day Camp for the 2008 camp. This person should have outstanding public-relation skills, a desire to be a part of a team, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. This dynamic individual will have a Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent. The start date is the last week of June. Full time and part time positions available. Must be 18 years and older as per insurance requirements. Positive experience working, dealing, and playing with children between the ages of 8 and 14 years. References will be required from past employers. Security check is required. Successful applicants will need to have a current first-aid certification from an accredited source. Public relation skills would be an asset. The successful applicant must be able and willing to participate in all activities with children indoors and outdoors.
