Children's Day Camp: Canyon offers a Summer Children's Day Camp (week long day camps). For more information please contact the office at 403-346-7003.

Canyon offers week long day camps for children between the ages of 8 - 14 years. The camp provides children with a chance to experience wilderness atmosphere and activities (horseback riding, games, canoeing, hiking, orienteering, and lots of fun!) within the convenience and economy of a day camp.

Participants will be transported to and from Red Deer (North East Parkland Mall Parking Lot) on a daily basis for a five day mid-week program.

One of the highlights during the week is the camp out on Thursday night! Campers stay over in Canyon's large day lodge. There is a campfire, hot dogs, Some-Mores, games, skits, and lots of giggles!

There will be six weekly camps offered throughout July and August. All activities are supervised.

The camps are designed to be a healthy exciting experience which will develop the campers' individual skills and encourage their involvement within a group atmosphere. Parents are welcome to drop in for a visit at any time.

2009 Camp Dates:

Week #1: July 6 - 10
Week #2: July 13 - 17
Week #3: July 20 - 24
Week #4: July 27 - August 31
Week #5: August 3 - 7
Week #6: August 10 - 14

Cost is $330.00 per week per child (includes GST). Price does not include lunch.

Come ride with us on Red Deer's best Trail Ride! Canyon staff offer guided hourly trail rides along the banks of the Red Deer River. There are trails for both the beginner and experienced rider. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the river valley and leave the day's hustle and bustle behind.

• Single Rider (alone) $60.00 per hour
• Special Rates for groups of 9 or more

To avoid disappointment, please phone ahead for reservations. A Visa or MasterCard number required to hold reservation.

ALL riders MUST BE 8 years or older. A legal guardian must sign our release of liability, waiver of claims, assumption of risk and indemnity agreement for a minor. This document MUST be signed / witnessed by a Canyon Ski Area current staff member.
